Calliope-Marina Vazakopoulou, MSc, is a software engineer at BMI-lab working on the National Grant EPAnEK 2014-2020 for the Research Project “Smart Insole – A novel wearable sensor for continuous gait analysis and evaluation”. She received her Bachelor Degree in Applied Informatics and Multimedia from the Technological Educational Institute of Crete (TEI-C), in 2013. She received her Master’s Degree in 2018 from the Technological Educational Institute of Crete. Previously, she worked for the EU funded projects “CHIC: Computational Horizons in Cancer, Developing Meta- and Hyper-Multiscale Models and Repositories for In Silico Oncology” and “MyHealth Avatar: A Demonstration of 4D Digital Avatar Infrastructure for Access of Complete Patient Information” for a period of seven months. She also has worked as a laboratory assistant from February 2016 to June 2018, on undergraduate courses at the Department of Informatics and Multimedia, TEI-C, namely Computer Architecture and Digital Design. Her research areas of interest include facial expression analysis, affective computing image, processing and machine learning.
