Short CV

George is currently working as a Bio/Software Engineer at the Biomedical Informatics and eHealth Laboratory (BMI lab) of the Hellenic Mediterranean University and at the Computational BioMedicine Laboratory (CBML lab) of the Institute of Computer Science at the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH). At BMI lab, George is involved in the development of “Smart Insoles” for continuous monitoring and evaluation of human gait, while at CBML lab, in the development of a wearable device for non-invasive analysis of vessel flows. George is interested in all the major aspects within a product’s development chain, like the literature review, and the mechanical, electronic and software design and implementation. He received a Master of Research and a Master of Philosophy degrees, both in the field of Bioengineering, from the Engineering Department of the University of Warwick (2003) and the Digital and Computational Engineering Centre of Swansea University (2006) respectively.
